RTS Kitchen Composters allow 100% home compost to be achieved by tackling the elements of organic waste that cannot be put into a traditional compost bin. All food waste is acceptable, including meat, fish, dairy, and cooked food. An extra wide hatch allows for easy removal of finished compost. The contents can then be placed into a traditional compost bin after a few days.

About the Product
The RTS Kitchen Composter Kit includes a compost activator called Bokashi, a bran based material that has been prepared with EM (a mixed culture of naturally occurring friendly microorganisms). The food waste then ferments, allowing it to be safely composed. A compressor is used as a tool for draining the liquid (known as Bokashi juice) from the food scraps within the container. The Bokashi juice can then be used as a plant food or can be poured down the drain. This is a good practice for households with septic systems, as it is believed that this may help maintain a healthy septic environment within the holding tank. Bokashi juice is acidic, however, and if being used as a plant feed, it should be diluted at a rate of 1:100 parts water.

RTS Kitchen Composters are air tight containers made from heavy duty plastic. The unique advantage of these composters is the use of roto-molding. Rotational molding produces vinyl products as one piece with a consistent, even wall thickness.
