About The Design

Each Cistern Tank is manufactured using rotational molding where the resin material (polyethylene) is both heated and cooled while undergoing rotation ensuring the strength and integrity of the tank. Tanks feature a spherical or trapezoidal, deep rib design dependant on the size of the tank and come with a customer-molded gasket in the lid that ensures a watertight seal. The exclusive lid design is locked in place with nylon ties. Unlike metal fasteners that can corrode and fail, the nylon ties provide the strength needed for underground longevity.

About The Materials

Cistern Tanks are made of high-density polyethylene with U.V inhibitors. Polyethylene is an extremely durable and long lasting material commonly used for outdoor products. The use of polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors in the manufacturing process ensures the longevity of the tank. The custom molded lid gasket is manufactured from extruded Nitrile rubber which is extremely durable and provides a tight, secure seal making its use preferable over less substantial rubber products. The polyethylene with U.V. stabilizers are designed for containment of liquids up to 1.7 specific gravity.
