The Great American Rain Barrel™ Trio System is made from three recycled 60 gallon olive drums which are among the largest capacity rain barrels available today. A 60 gallon rain barrel can fill with less than ¼ “ of rainfall (depending on the size of your roof and gutter system). Rain barrels can go a long way in offsetting your domestic water needs.
About The Design
The Great American Rain Barrel™ Trio System holds a total of 180 gallons of rain water and is an asset to the serious gardener. By linking 3 rain barrels with a short section of ¾” hose (not included), replacing the upper plug with an elbow filling (included) then attaching with the short hose section, the Trio System is ready. The exterior of the barrels are a naturally distressed design covered in calming garden hues of Forest Green, Nantucket Gray or Earth Brown. The smooth interior of each barrel discourages the build-up of algae and bacteria while the one piece design deters pets and wildlife from gaining access. Each barrel comes with a threaded spigot positioned 14” from ground level. Simply flip open the spigot and the natural flow of gravity provides pressure for watering flower gardens or washing your car. The cover contains drainage holes and screws on to the barrel to ensure a snug fit and is sturdy enough to display your favorite river stones for an added decorating touch.
About The Materials
Each UV protected polyethylene rain barrel is remanufactured and assembled in the USA from a recycled shipping barrel that stands 39" tall by 24" wide and weighs 20 lbs. empty. High quality polyethylene is an extremely durable plastic that is ideal for outdoor products because of its resistance to fading and longevity. Only after the integrity of the barrel has passed inspection is the barrel power washed and covered with commercial grade paint. The result is one of the best built and most durable rain barrels available.
