document I want to place a rain barrel (which I have not yet purchased) under a down spout that also collects runoff from the central air conditioning unit. The output is a good bucketfull a day. Do you know or have any information as to whether the runoff water from an air conditioning unit is harmful in any way to plants or wildlife? And would it be okay to mix that runoff water with rainwater that is being collected?
It is perfectly fine to use the water from an air conditioner for plants and vegetables. It makes for a wise usage of recycled water.
